As young adults get to a certain age, it seems as if all their friends and cousins are getting married or making a commitment to a long term relationship. They suddenly find they are the only person without a partner, and they are designated as the last single person standing. This is a lonely feeling, and friends and family do their best to help. Everyone seems to know someone else who is single, and the match making begins. This is not always a good time for a single person because they feel forced to find a partner.

Being the last unattached person is not always a proud moment. Some people feel there is a lack of commitment to being an adult, and other people see it as failure to mature properly.
